CEF Chief Futurist joins UNDESA Team
Kudos to CEF Chief Futurist Shermon Ortega Cruz for joining UNDESA as a foresight expert to help analyze, rethink and reimagine the futures of public administration, governance and services.
The meeting attended by Prof. Cruz served as the inception meeting for the World Public Sector Report 2023, which is scheduled for publication next year. The meeting reviewed and discussed recent institutional innovations and how they could be mobilized to improve the delivery of public services, help governments assess competing priorities and address difficult policy trade-offs, and contribute to reshaping the relationship between governments and people.

This reflects a fundamental concern for equity and equality in countries large and small, developed and developing.
The World Public Sector Report is one of UNDESA’s Flagship Reports published annually to capture the emerging issues, concerns and innovations in governance and public administration, especially those that contribute to the realization of the UN Development Agenda including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
