Jacksonville’s First Go Green Expo Set to kick off a Two-Day Event on October 18 and 19, 2008.

Global GreenUp, LLC has released the detailed planning of the first-of-its-kind green-living and sustainability showcase to hit Jacksonville, (www.jacksonvillegreenexpo.com). Jacksonville Green Expo is scheduled to kick-off its inaugural two-day event by hosting a colorful reception breakfast at 10am on Saturday, October 18 with a celebration honoring local companies, sponsors, exhibitors and attendees for their partnership and contribution to the growing environmental and sustainability awareness in Jacksonville.

After the reception breakfast, keynote speech and ribbon-cutting ceremony, the exhibition floors will be open to the attendees from 10am to 6pm on both days. This inaugural event will be held at the Morocco Shrine Center and the entrance is $5.00 per adults and free for children.

Jacksonville Green Expo has partnered with Cox Radio, Folio Weekly, First Coast News, etc along with several other media companies in the North East to promote the event. This unprecedented partnership and subsequent aggressive advertising platform is slated to reach over half a million people in the Jacksonville metropolitan area and suburbs.

Jacksonville Green Expo was created as a forum for increasing awareness of
Environment and climate change challenges, showcasing green products and services and educating the public and corporate. The event will give Jacksonville residents the opportunity to learn and experience the latest in alternative energy sources, green home and business products, hybrid/low emission transportation, ideas for green building, eco-fashion, eco-friendly toys, green travel, organic foods and beverages and much more. Some of the exhibitors will include Native Sun, JEA, Nature’s Way Pest Control, Growers Alliance Coffee Company, Tao Chi Fashion, Go Green Fresh Produce, Distinguished Realty, One World Sustainable, Onsite Environmental Consulting, Bright Vision Green Solutions, Winn-Dixie Stores, Magnolia Organic Farms, GreenUp Magazine, Dobbs Apparel, Eco-Quest Clean Air, First Coast Metropolitan Services, Anheuser Busch, Global GreenUp, etc among several others.

Global GreenUp, LLC plans to use the funds to sponsor and host similar green tradeshow and green awareness events at least twice a year. The organization also plans to donate part of the funds to local projects and organizations which are geared towards making Jacksonville a greener city. The next event will be a much bigger, three-day event and will be held on the weekend after Earth Day, 2009.
