BOSTON – Leaders from Government, Business, Non-Profit, Academia and Community sectors will come together for the purpose of creating sustainable communities and a sustainable economy in Massachusetts. The Third Annual Sustainable Economy Conference, (SEC) is slated for April 30 at the Federal Reserve Bank in Boston. While Governor Deval Patrick served as the premiere SEC Keynote Speaker, this year four Federal Regional Administrators representing the DOL, EPA, DOT, and HUD are participating, as well as State Treasurer Steven Grossman, State Secretary of Energy and Environmental Affairs Richard Sullivan Jr. and the Chief of Environmental and Energy Services for the City of Boston Jim Hunt. The SEC fosters the development of new networks and business relationships.

The SEC is designed to advance the knowledge, perspective and networks of all sector leaders and others working to create a sustainable economy, improve economic recovery and growth, reduce operation costs, drive job creation, build sustainable communities and expand the green economy in Massachusetts. Complimentary passes are available for active college students, government/municipal employees and nonprofits organizations.

The SEC has partnered with 20 professional affiliations as, including Massachusetts Business Roundtable, American Planning Association, New England Clean Energy Council, State Office of Small Business & Entrepreneurship, A Better City, 2020 Women on Boards, Center for Women in Enterprise, Associated Industries of MA and many others.
