Ethical Markets Advisor Riane Eisler, Jeana Wirtenberg, an Ethical Markets Sustainability Research Group mentor, and Kristine Kawamura extend a special invitation to participate in and/or submit “CARING” Proposals: Caring Action Research Projects in the New Global Economy to work on during one or both of our AOM Professional Development Workshops (PDWs) at the upcoming Academy of Management Annual Meeting, San Antonio, Texas, USA, August 12-16, 2011 entitled West Meets East: Enlightening, Balancing, Transcending..
Proposals are not required to attend the PDWs. We welcome you as a working member of these action research project teams and encourage you to contribute your ideas and experience for their further development. You are also invited to our Caring Economics Reception and Community Gathering for Caring Economics Work on Saturday August 13th from 5-7 PM at the Grand Hyatt Republic A, and to our Symposium on Women, Men and Care in the New East-West Economy on Sunday August 14th from 2:50 to 4:20 PM in the San Antonio Convention Center, Room 203A.
The organizers are calling for PDW project proposals that identify a real CARING-focused problem or systemic issue that contribute to the development of a Caring Economy and projects that would benefit from active problem-solving and goal-oriented project work within multi-disciplinary action research groups. Approved projects will also be widely publicized prior to the AOM Meeting by the organizers. Please submit any questions and up to a two-page proposal for PDW Action Research Projects to Dr. Kristine M. Kawamura [[email protected]] by July 15th.
