World Happiness Report 2018!

Jay OwenTrendspotting, Beyond GDP

The World Happiness Report 2018 is a landmark survey of the state of global happiness published by SDSN with support from the Ernesto Illy Foundation. The 2018 report ranks 156 countries by happiness level and 117 countries by the happiness of their immigrants. The first World Happiness Report was published in April 2012, in support of the UN High Level Meeting on happiness and well-being. Since then the world has come a long way. Increasingly, happiness is considered to be the proper measure of social progress and a primary goal of public policy.Read the Report

SDSN is using a platform called Thunderclap. It’s a tool that allows people to schedule a tweet or Facebook post that will be posted along with other supporters’ messages at the same time. This campaign follows the launch of the 2018 World Happiness Report, which calls on decision makers and the general public to measure human progress not only in economic terms but also with metrics for human well-being.
