Network & Regional Center Activities

2018 was a busy year with a number of new Networks and SDG Centers launched. With 10 already lined up for 2019, we’re excited to continue watching our networks grow.

SDSN Outreach

Global outreach and engagement is a key part of SDSN’s mission. Between the Secretariat, our Networks, and SDSN Youth, SDSN hosted over 100 events on all 6 continents this year.

SDSN Flagship Initiatives

The SDSN advanced several of our flagship programs in 2018.

  • The SDG Academy announced a new partnership with EdX and launched several new courses.
  • As part of the Food and Land-Use Coalition, the Food, Agriculture, Biodiversity, Land Use and Energy (FABLE) Pathways Consortium advanced the development of national pathways towards land-use and food systems.
  • The SDSN partnered with Human Act to launch Move Humanity, an initiative to establish SDG-focused philanthropy as a global norm.
  • SDSN’s SDG financing team in partnership with the IMF presented their preliminary findings on the costs of achieving the SDGs in low-income developing countries is September 2019.
