In Monaco earlier this week, SOS SAHEL, launched SPARK 2050, an agri-tech hackathon which aims to drive the development of sustainable livelihoods in the Sahel. SOS SAHEL is  the largest and oldest French non government organization (NGO) working across the 11 Sahelian countries – – from Dakar to Djibouti, since 1976 it has focused on and led the agenda on Sahelian food security and nutrition.

SPARK2050 stands for Sustainable Platform for Agri-Tech Actors Relaying Knowledge. At the heart of SPARK2050 is the “10-30-300 million” concept of identifying 10 agricultural breakthroughs to roll out over 30 years to transform the lives of 300 million Sahelians for good by 2050.

The Blended Capital Group team is working with SOS SAHEL, head-quartered in Dakar, Senegal, as part of our Dynamic Donor Relations (DDR) stream. In the spirit of United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #17 (Partnership)  want SOS SAHEL to access new parts of the investment chain in innovative ways.
