Dear SDSN Community,

As August comes to a close, SDSN begins its preparations for the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in September, one of our busiest months of the year. To kick things off, the SDG Academy will be starting new runs on all of their courses on September 1st. Their free online courses will sharpen your knowledge on any one of the 17 SDGs. If you are looking for more in-depth research on the SDGs, look no further than SDSN’s flagship event, the International Conference on Sustainable Development (ICSD) happening September 20th and 21st, where researchers and practitioners from around the world will join virtually to present their latest findings on a variety of sustainability topics.

This year’s UNGA will gather world leaders to discuss the most pressing issues, including building forward better under the framework of the SDGs, global health, climate change and energy transformation, more sustainable and equitable food systems, inequality and poverty, and conflict. Academia remains an essential part of these conversations, promoting integrated approaches to implement solutions to these global dilemmas. SDSN is proud to mobilize some of the top sustainability experts within our network around the technical challenges of implementing the SDGs and the Paris Climate Agreement. If your institution is looking to join a unique network of problem solvers, we encourage you to apply for membership at SDSN today. Until then, see you at the UNGA!
