Performance versus sustainability is a false choice!

Jay OwenSRI/ESG News, Sustainability News, Halophytes

“ Ethical Markets find some interesting stories in this Biofuels Newsletter , but the whole biofuels industry is still too focused on such unsustainable methods as today’s additives to gasoline ( mostly from corn ), as well as growing grass crops such as misocanthus for fuel, on agricultural land, using freshwater .

These approaches waste land and freshwater, while interfering with food and land needs .  Our approach is focused on halophytes, e.g. algae which is grown on seawater and which is being developed as a substitute for petroleum distillate use for fueling aircraft.

So read this Newsletter with true sustainability criteria and the best science in mind !
