Paul Druckman wins IAB 2014 Personality of the Year
for promoting the global adoption of Integrated Reporting

18 September 2014 – In recognition of his leadership of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) and his work to promote the global adoption of Integrated Reporting <IR>, Paul Druckman, CEO, IIRC was voted ‘Personality of the Year’ at the International Accounting Bulletin’s annual global industry awards this week.

The awards celebrate worldwide best practice in the accounting profession, and Druckman was recognised for spearheading the IIRC’s work to encourage businesses across the world to adopt <IR> by using the International <IR> Framework, which was released in December 2013.

The IAB stated, “[T]he framework release has not been the only achievement in the last year. By cooperating with standard setters and institutes through MoUs and networks, Druckman and the IIRC continuously strengthened the global discussion about <IR> and broached continuative topics such as assurance on <IR> or <IR> in public sector accounting.”

Druckman, who is currently talking to business leaders in India, expressed his delight in winning this award. He said, “I am proud of the achievement of the International <IR> Framework and its contribution to financial stability and sustainable development, and am thrilled that the IIRC’s work has been recognised in this way.

“It is fantastic to receive such positive acknowledgement of the take-up of <IR>, particularly as we are set to launch our new <IR> Business Network next week, which I am convinced will drive the global adoption of <IR> and ensure it remains relevant for all regions and industry sectors.

“The credit must really go to the global coalition of organizations and partners who have supported and shaped the direction of <IR> and to the innovations and leadership of many organizations who are adopting <IR> across the world.”
