Tuesday, March 8 ON POETRY: THE PROFESSOR & THE CEO

English poet Robert Graves once said that “there’s no money in poetry, but then there’s no poetry in money, either.” American poet Wallace Stevens, on the other hand, felt that “money is a kind of poetry.” This event will amply demonstrate that the Professor and the CEO may not only share a love of poetry but also possess a delightful, illuminating capacity for eloquence about it. Join us as two Dallas familiars–CEO Morton Meyerson and SMU Professor Willard Spiegelman– read and discuss, with each other and the audience, some of their favorite poems.

Tuesday evening, 6:30-8 pm. Reception at 6 pm.

Members $15, Nonmembers $20, Member Teachers $5. REGISTER HERE.
