Dear Friends of The Blended Capital Group,

TBCGwww.blendedcapital.com ) is taking a minority stake in a new UK start up company, MWEZI, that is driving efforts to create a solar lamp solution for Africa made in Africa.

The MWEZI vision is to serve off grid African communities as well as the needs of refugees in complex humanitarian situations with a solar lamp assembled by Africans and thereby creating stable local employment over time.

Behind MWEZI is the longer-term aspiration to deliver “health, wealth, education and environmental” solutions that are forged by Africans for Africa.

TBCG has known the British entrepreneur behind MWEZI, Mike Sherry, since 2005 and we believe his vision is compelling and his can do attitude refreshing.
