 Sustainable Initiatives

Currently, MSA Metal Americas (MSA Brazil) is in the process of developing a multi-million dollar BETA plant that showcases cutting edge innovation regarding

the most effective ways of recycling used tires, with an expected monthly production of over 1,800 tons of asphalt quality crumb rubber. The end product is to be

supplied to the oil industry for the manufacturing of specialty asphalts, as well as other initiatives that add value to products, such as railway sleepers.

This pilot project will mark the beginning of new plants that can be replicated in several regions, including pending projects in the Panama Canal,

the United States-Mexico border and the Caribbean, transferring technology applied to sustainable innovations in a cost-effective manner.

By implementing our innovative projects in Brazil through our centers of excellence, showcasing unique technologies, the MSA Group will soon become

a best-practice reference for the recycling industry in Latin America.

– Celso Linguanotto, Metal Americas General Manager

Since the International Green Energy Council instituted its recycling initiative in early 2008 we have been working with public schools, colleges and universities,

local, state, federal and international governments as well as the professional sports community to instill in them the benefits of recycling both for the environment

as well as the positive economics of recycling” said Secretary General of the International Green Energy Council, Ralph Avallone.

“Our collaboration with MSA Group will allow us now to prove that these recycling systems can be applied to create new economic development and new jobs

while substantially reusing mans waste“, continued Avallone.
