The Dubai Future Council on Transportation brought me to Dubai to begin reviewing long-range strategies for the Roads and Transportation Authority. As a Member of the Council I will meet four times a year for two years (I will return this June for the second meeting).

After the Council meeting, I met separately with the head of foresight for RTA to begin relations with The Millennium Project. So looks like The Millennium Project will have more involvement with this very futuristic high-tech city.

Dubai Node Co-chair Paul Epping asked me to stay on a few more days to speak at the Open Exponential Organizations (ExO) Summit and participate in their workshops. This is a unique organization headed by Salim Ismail former director of Singularity University to dramatically grow organizations using new technologies and concepts of exponential growth popularized at SU http://www.openexodubai.com/. Salim will be appointing a liaison to develop synergies with The Millennium Project.

I also got to catch up with Muhammad Al Mheiri the new Millennium Project Co-Chair in Dubai who is working on his Master’s Degree in Futures Research. And was interviewed for the “Future Talk” Pulse95 Radio show. The podcast of the show is available at:
