The Millennium Project just completed an extraordinary week:
July 21-22 Millennium Project Planning Committee Meeting – 20th Anniversary
July 21 Millennium Project Reception at the Embassy of Chile
July 23-24 World Future Society Conference – 50th Anniversary
July 24 Millennium Project NATO workshop Reception at the Embassy of Azerbaijan
July 25-27 Millennium Project NATO Workshop to reduce lone wolf terrorist and SIMAD threats
The Millennium Project Planning Committee Meeting held at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars reviewed the:
- Recent accomplishments (see Agenda Accomplishments Work Tech attached file)
- Three global work/tech 2050 scenarios, long-range strategy implications, and national workshops to address the issues in the scenarios, (see Scenario Report for Print attached file)
- Potential collaborations with the ILO
- Early detection/prevention of Lone Wolf terrorists and SIMAD RTD and NATO Workshop (background and presentations at: http://www.millennium-project.org/millennium/NATO-PredetectionWorkshop.html)
- Results of the MPPC 2016 RTD (see attached MPPC Priorities RTD 2016)
- Node reports (at: http://www.millennium-project.org/millennium/mppc-0716.html#nodes), and RIBER and Foresight Europe Network reports plus small group discussions
The next MPPC Millennium Project Planning Committee Meeting will be held in Peru, October 2017.
Over 20 countries are now planning national long-range strategy workshops with the three alternative global work/tech 2015 scenarios as in put.
