New Report Finds 100 Percent Organic, Plant-Forward School Meals Produce More Than Just Health Benefits

Conscious Kitchen’s food model prioritizes students’ health and focuses on reducing preventable disease by providing 100 percent organic, plant-forward, scratch cooked meals. By sourcing ingredients from local farms, the program also prevents food waste, conserves water, and saves energy required to produce, process, and transport food and packaging.

La Soupe has rescued over 2 million pounds of food and turned it into meals for those in need. Launched in 2014 by Chef Suzy DeYoung, La Soupe partners with grocers, distributors, farmers, and restaurants who donate food that would otherwise go to waste and creates soup to feed people experiencing food insecurity.
