CEO Shout-out

This week’s shout-out goes to hydrogen, a topic making a clear re-emergence, and nowhere more so than in France.

This week, EDF announced the creation of “Hynamics,” a new subsidiary responsible for offering effective low-carbon hydrogen for industry and mobility. That followed last month’s announcement by Michelin that they had bought out other shareholders in hydrogen mobility startup Symbio FCell, one of our 2016 Ones to Watch companies. Michelin will now use Symbio’s technology to build a hydrogen joint venture with auto parts manufacturer Faurecia.

For the longest time a subject that has felt Asian and European in its orientation, the strong interest in our Hydrogen Summit, a pre-event to our 2019 Cleantech Forum San Francisco, clearly said otherwise. Hydrogen is also going to be a key topic in our upcoming 2019 Cleantech Forum Europe in which one of the other key French multi-national players, ENGIE, will participate.

Come join them, us and 350-400 more in Stockholm, 21-23 May for our 15th (Crystal) anniversary!
