Ethical MarketsResource Efficiency

A Note from the Editor

When it comes to IT, what does “green” really mean? To a certain extent, it’s a word that’s in danger of geting coopted by the marketing departments of hardware and software makers. However, there’s a simple concept that we can use instead — sustainability, which is something that can be measured and managed.

This week, in his column Sustainable IT: The Many Shades of Green, Robert Hougton, president of Redemtech Inc., offers advice on how to plan and manage for sustainability — and do it in a very real way, including building a long-term sustainabilty program.
