Climate Heritage of Humankind Conference – 28-29 October 2022
The Conference “ Climate Common Heritage of Humankind” was organized under the High Patronage of the President of the Portuguese Republic.
Distinct personalities from the Community of Portuguese Language Countries came together at this international conference to start a discussion about the importance of a new legal framework for Climate and its recognition as a Common Heritage of Humankind. The discussions also aimed to position the Portuguese-Speaking Countries in the global exchange about the need for a paradigm shift based on the development of economic models that are more favourable to ensuring climate stability on a planetary level, as a starting point for a process of cleaning the atmosphere.

The Stable Climate – Common Heritage of Humankind
Approximately fifty Portuguese and Brazilian personalities from the most diverse sectors of civil society – including former ministers, artists, writers, representatives of youth climate movements, former ambassadors, academics, indigenous communities, activists and from various civil society organizations – came together on the 28th of December to present the Brazil-EU Manifesto for a Stable Climate – A Common Heritage of Humankind.
