Earth Charter 10th Anniversary!
During 2010 the Earth Charter Initiative is celebrating the 10th anniversary since the launch of the Earth Charter. It is envisioned that there will be at least one major Earth Charter+10 gathering in each region of the world.  Learn more about it here.

New book features the Earth Charter
The new book “Sustainable Economy: Corporate, Social and Environmental Responsibility” (2010) edited by Raymond W Y Kao (published by World Scientific Publishing Co. Pte. Ltd). features the Earth Charter. This book brings together an impressive list of international experts, who contribute to the discussion on feasible solutions towards a sustainable future.  Click here for more.

Bibliography on the Earth Charter
The new bibliography that is now available features books, book chapters, articles from scholarly journals, manuals, teacher’s resources, magazine stories, etc. written by outstanding scholars, academicians, community activists and youth leaders. There are over 230 publications listed it can be a very useful instrument for research and teaching!  Click here for more on this.

The Ministry of Education in Spain incorporates the Earth Charter in its teacher education curriculum
Fundación Valores (Values Foundation), Earth Charter Affiliate, has signed a collaboration agreement with the Teachers’ Training Institute of the Spanish Ministry of Education to offer teacher training based on the Earth Charter.  Click here for more.

A private company in Mexico uses the Earth Charter as a framework for its operations
For some time PASA – Promotora Ambiental (Environment Promoter) has been using the Earth Charter as an ethical framework for its work. The company owns and manages 23 landfills in the country and is active in 44 cities of Mexico in the areas of recycling, water treatment, as well as private and domestic waste recollection. PASA has created Fundación Mundo Sustentable (Sustainable World Foundation) to carry on its projects on social responsibility; many of these projects are related to the Earth Charter.  Click here for more.
