Plus Pool: The Crowd’s Push to Transform NYC’s East River — Plus Pool is a civic initiative (and crowdfunding campaign) to install a floating pool in the East River. If it succeeds, Plus Pool would not only provide a safe, surreal place for New Yorkers to swim, but also clean a half-million gallons of river water daily.
Recently, we learned of an equity crowdfunding project that took place on the Chilean platform Broota; it is, to our knowledge, the first successful equity raise in the country, and one of the first in the entire region. To find out more about the successful raise, Broota, and Chilean crowdfunding in general, we reached out to Jose Berrios, the platform’s co-founder and CTO.
