Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan pledge to give away 99% of their shares in Facebook as they announced the birth of their daughter Max.
“For your generation to live in a better world, there is so much more our generation can do,” they write in a letter to Max on Mark’s Facebook page.
They are donating their shares to the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, equaling $45 billion of Facebook’s current value, over the course of the couple’s lives.
