Dear  Hazel

Brilliant news – last week, Barclays announced that it is going to stop speculating on food!

This is a big breakthrough for our campaign – and we couldn’t have done it without your help. The action you take really does make a difference.

But Barclays is just one bank – there are many more bankers across Europe who are still addicted to gambling on food.

It’s a risky addiction which drives up food prices and wrecks lives, leaving the poorest people in the world facing hunger and poverty.

That’s why we’ve launched Bankers Anonymous today – a five-step programme to help all bankers quit their addiction to gambling on food.

Please join the campaign and take the first step now: ask your MP to fight for new rules to stop all bankers from betting on hunger.

And keep a look out for the next steps in the programme as we release them at key points during the campaign over the coming months.

Together we can build on our Barclays victory and help put all bankers on the road to recovery!

Food campaigner, WDM

PS Everyone who writes to their MP will be able to watch a video message from a ‘banker’ who needs our help.
