Ojai, CA. Sept. 22, 2008. The World Business Academy will present its 2008 EthicMark® Award for “advertising that uplifts the human spirit and society” at the Green Media Show™ Conference and Expo, October 1st in Boston.

The five advertising campaigns chosen as finalists from the many campaigns nominated from around the world are: Cannes Lions Festival – Humanitarian Lion (France); Dove – Evolution; Natura – About Recycling (Brazil); Together We Can (UK); and the WE Campaign – Coming Together to Protect the Planet. The Award will be presented by world-renown futurist Hazel Henderson, who Co-Chairs the EthicMark® Advisory Board, along with Rinaldo Brutoco, Founder and President of the World Business Academy. The Board is comprised of world-class business and civic leaders, including Simran Sethi, Emmy Award-winning environmental journalist and host of the Ethical Markets TV series; Charles Firestone, Director, Aspen Institute; Joe Keefe, CEO, Pax World Fund; Christina Carvalho Pinto, President, Mercado Etico in Brazil; Don Carli, Executive Vice-President, SustainCommWorld and The Green Media Show; and Martha Shaw, President, Earth Advertising.

The World Business Academy is a non-profit business think tank founded in 1987, whose mission is to assist business to assume responsibility for the whole of society. The Academy’s many publications address sustainable business strategies, the challenge of innovative and values-driven leadership, and “best practices” within new business paradigms.
