Taking Care of Business

by Joel Makower

We’ve made it through the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States, and are now on the home stretch — the last few weeks of actual work before things quiet down for the year-end holiday season.

There’s a lot to do. At GreenBiz, we’re working with our partners at Trucost on our 11th annual State of Green Business report, coming out in mid-January. Some great, eye-opening new metrics this time around. Stay tuned.

The editorial team is beginning work on a series of year-end pieces, looking back at 2017 and ahead to 2018. We’ve asked a number of you to weigh in on both and look forward to sharing their insights starting in mid-December.

We’re also finalizing the speakers and sessions for our upcoming GreenBiz 18 conference in February. I hope you’ll check out the latest program, if you haven’t already. We’ve got some great keynoters, including UN Global Compact CEO Lise Kingo, author and activist Paul Hawken, Cradle to Cradle designer Bill McDonough, National Geographic photographer Cristina Mittermeier and speakers from Apple, BASF, Campbell’s, Cargill, Coca-Cola, Dow, GM, Hilton, Intel, Kellogg, Mars, MGM Resorts, P&G, S.C. Johnson, Salesforce and a score of other organizations.

The current registration rate expires December 8, and the hotel block will likely be gone before the clock strikes 2018. So, I’d encourage you to seize the moment.
