ANNOUNCING AN EXCITING NEW ADDITION TO THE MONETARY REFORM MOVEMENT

THE NEW ABOLITIONISM

The New Abolitionism: Symposium on Money Mechanics and a Moral Economy was held October 31 at the Mt. Ennon Baptist Church (http://www.mtennon.org/).  The symposium was produced by Senior Pastor Delman Coates, Phd., in two parts.

 

The morning session convened Michael Grant, President of the National
Bankers Association; Darius L. Davis, Managing member, Camelus Group; Art Lindo, Senior Associate Director Board of Visitors and Governors Federal Reserve; Seth Carpenter, Chief Economist U.S. UBS; and Alan Grayson, former Congressman who were asked to answer three questions: 1.  What institutions control the money supply?  2.  What is the composition of the money supply?  3.  Where do banks get the money they lend?  As opinion, the questions were not directly answered, but the answers can be discerned.  Power Point documents and videos are at (https://www.newabolitionism.org/2017conference/ ).

 

The afternoon session convened Imam Mohamed Magib, Executive Director, All Dulles Area Muslim Society; Dr. David Cloutier, Associate Professor of Theology, The Catholic University of America; and Miles Roger, Assistant Director of Religious Education, Washington Hebrew Congregation speak on the religious policies on usury and moral implications.
