The Summer in the City 5th Annual CSR Investing Summit includes an all-day conference and a half-day workshop that present a forum for engaging with thought leaders and discussing their points of view on how to define, manage, and measure responsible investing. The event includes expert practitioners who are plan sponsors, endowments, consultants, academics, non-governmental organizations, the sell side, and media.

This year’s conference will feature keynote speaker Georg Kell, Vice Chairman of Arabesque Asset Management and founding Executive Director of the UN Global Compact, presenting “Seventeen Years of ESG: From Concept to Integration.”

Also speaking will be Bruno Bertocci, Managing Director at UBS Global Asset Management, to provide an update regarding the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), which aims toward voluntary, consistent climate-related financial risk disclosures so that companies may better measure and respond to climate change risks, aligning disclosures with investors’ needs.

The Thursday, July 20th workshop portion of the 5th Annual CSR Investing Summit (for which completion certificates will be available) will feature a screening of the documentary film Planetary, presented by Associate Producer Jeffrey Gitterman. Also included will be an overview of ESG data in investing, and a discourse on climate risk led by the Washington-based global think tank Climate Advisers.
