THE VEHICLES ARE HERE—NOW WHAT?
As the number of electric vehicle (EV) models increases and the prices decrease, it seems that pretty soon there will be an EV for all needs at an affordable price. However, the EV revolution still faces many barriers. In October, RMI brought together teams of stakeholders from the midcontinent region to tackle local, specific challenges to electrifying the transportation sector.
THE PROBLEM WITH THE EPA’S PROPOSED CHANGES TO CURRENT METHANE REGULATIONS
A proposed rollback of EPA emissions regulations is a shortsighted move that ignores emerging signals from the oil and gas industry’s most critical customers and growing competition from alternatives that promise advantages in both cost and climate impact. The savings from deregulation will benefit only a small minority of poor performers and ultimately cost the industry as a whole.
RMI AND NREL HOSTING SOLAR ENERGY INNOVATION NETWORK
RMI is partnering with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) to host teams from around the country to research solutions to real-world challenges associated with solar energy adoption, with a focus on new ways for solar energy to improve the affordability, reliability, and resiliency of the nation’s electric grid.
