Reduce carbons – Save money – Create green jobs
Local solar installer, Solar States, installed rooftop solar on my house in center city Philadelphia just over a year ago. In my first year, I saved $1,885 in energy bills. At this rate, I will pay off my investment of $11,000 (originally a $16,000 expense before my $5,000 tax deduction) in only 6 years. The sun is free. Why not use it?
I’ve teamed up with Solar States, along with Center City Residence Association and the Clean Air Council, to launch a Solarize Center City campaign in which residents of Center City Philadelphia can use collective buying power to purchase solar systems at reduced cost, while collectively addressing climate change by reducing carbons.
I’ll be speaking along with representatives of Solar States at two upcoming events that will explain the Solarize campaign, answer questions and provide networking among neighbors. Hope you will join us.
