THE MISMATCH OF TIME HORIZONS ACROSS THE INVESTMENT CHAIN:
CHALLENGES FOR FINANCIAL POLICY-MAKERS

July17th, 2017, 2PM-6PM – EIB, Rond-Point Robert Schuman, 6, Brussels

A day before the launch of the interim report from the EC High Level Expert Group (HLEG) on Sustainable Finance, the members of the group, EU policy-makers and other experts will discuss one of the key topics on the policy-makers agenda: the mismatch of time horizons across the investment chain.

The European Investment Bank (EIB) and the 2° Investing Initiative (2Dii) are pleased to invite you to the launch of their new research paper « Clouded by a perfect storm, the current state of corporate disclosure on long-term risks ». The report analyses the practices of the top 1500 listed companies regarding their forward-looking disclosures and discussion of long-term risks.

The round-tables will also address more broadly the issues related to the relatively short time horizon of equity analysts, credit rating agencies, asset managers, asset owners and regulators, and the implications for the HLEG, the TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) and EU Financial policies.

The conference will be followed by a cocktail.

The capacity of the room is limited, please register asap by emailing: [email protected]
