Dear members, colleagues and friends:

Thanks to everyone that joined us in Pittsburgh for our 36th Annual Conference on Serving the Underserved and 6th Latino Credit Union Conference!

Despite a challenging economy, more than 300 representatives from community development credit unions (CDCUs), asset-building nonprofits, federal agencies, and the foundation world came together in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for four days of educational sessions, networking, and a reaffirmation of what it means to serve the underserved!

By now, we have all returned to our jobs and the daily challenges these entail, but we hope the information you received and the contacts you made will help you move forward with your local community development efforts; and we want you to know that the Federation is here to provide a helping hand.

We acknowledge the challenges that abound, but are optimistic that your organizations will prevail. Our movement remains as committed as ever to its mission of serving the underserved, and we have discovered new allies among our ranks, both within the credit union industry as well as from without.
