Press Invited to Learn About Barriers to Wind and Solar Energy in Brazil

Barriers to the expansion of wind and solar energy in Brazil will be debated on 27 and 28 May in São Paulo, Brazil.

State Governors, federal authorities from Brazil and board members of wind industry associations GWEC and ABEEolica join senior executives from leading wind and solar manufacturers and project developers to discuss the challenge of rolling out renewable energy in Brazil at the Cleantech Investor conference.

Key decision makers of Brazilian energy policy will join together to discuss the challenge of developing the solar and wind energy industries in Brazil during three events taking place on 27 and 28 May in São Paulo City:

BWECBrazil Wind Energy Conference,

BSECBrazil Solar Energy Conference, and

BSRD – Brazil Small Renewable Day.

These conferences are organised by Cleantech Investor at Caesar Business Hotel (205, Olimpíadas Street, Vila Olímpia).

They are sponsored by the State of Bahia and companies including Renova Energia, Eolica Tecnologia, Iberdrola and NeoEnergia. Cleantech Investor is supported by ABDI (the Brazilian Industrial Development Agency), ABEEólica (the Brazilian Wind Energy Association), ABIAPE (the Brazilian Association of Producers of Energy for Self Consumption), ApexBrasil (the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), ANACE (the National Association of Energy Consumers); CERNE (the Centre for Strategy for Energy & Natural Resources); CCIBC (the Brazil China Chamber); CELA (Clean Energy Latin America); and the Latin American Forum.

There is special registration for media, so register as early as possible to confirm the attendance of your publication (journalists’ names may be provided later).  A welcome pack will be organised for participating media, and press releases will be distributed about all of the conferences. Because of facility limitations, there will be joint press conferences, which hopefully can accommodate everyone. Media wanting to organise interviews with individual speakers need to let organizers know as soon as possible as there are limitations on private interview rooms.
