Mondragón Seminar & Tour
September 18 – 24, 2011

Dear Friends

By now, you have undoubtedly heard of the Mondragón Cooperatives in the Basque region of Spain. They comprise the largest consortium of worker-owned businesses in the world. But, in addition to creating a successful business model for the coming century, Mondragón has an education department, a peace center that offers conflict resolution workshops and mediations for social and political groups, and the largest Research & Development Center in all of Europe. Innovation and an evolving flexibility to changing times is built into their philosophy. Their focus on education — Mondragón University is also part of this consortium — is a key part of their success. Their compassion and concern for ALL worker-owners is another indicator of their commitment to social transformation, which is a stated goal of the Mondragón Cooperative Corporation (MCC).

If your work or study would benefit from a 5-day seminar and tour of Mondragón’s businesses and philosophy, please consider joining us for this unique educational opportunity. Because you have been involved in previous Praxis Peace Institute programs, you are receiving advance notice before we advertise the seminar to the public in progressive magazines. We can only bring 25 people and 6 have already registered, so we urge you to act quickly. Our last trip sold out and had a waiting list.

I look forward to hearing from you if you have any questions regarding this seminar and tour. More information is also available on our website: http://www.praxispeace.org/conference12
