Without you, these stories go untold

Tomorrow marks Giving Tuesday, or as we like to call it around here, #GivingNewsDay, and we have an opportunity to highlight the need for powerful investigative journalism. For those not familiar with the day, it is celebrated in North America after Thanksgiving and is an opportunity to give back to organizations like ours.

We’ve set a goal to raise $100,000 by the end of 2017 – a year that has been marked by ICIJ going independent, winning the Pulitzer Prize for the Panama Papers and releasing the Paradise Papers. Thanks to News Match, $28,000 of that will be matched. Will you help us get there? Donate now!

We also have a few Paradise Papers updates. First, in Canada, new documents regarding Stephen Bronfman (Justin Trudeau’s fundraiser and family friend) and his offshore connections were found. And, the head of Sweden’s largest business lobby stood down after he asked reporters: ‘What the hell do I get with my money’.
