Jordan’s wind project neglects massive European bird migration

Jordan’s Tafila wind power plant just got financed with almost $300 million. Great news for energy poor Jordan, but bad news for the birds. The problem is that no outside party really thought about the birds: the turbines are being constructed along one of the world’s most important bird migration routes. Notable bird researcher Yossi Leshem tells Green Prophet that radar can be the answer.
