The Earth Day 50 Challenge Report is Here.

Dear Future 500 Friends + Allies:

This past Earth Day, we teamed up with Trammell Crow and the Earth Day Texas team to convene over 100 corporate, environmental, academic, and philanthropic leaders in Dallas and launched an unusual coalition: The Earth Day 50 Challenge.

Over three days, this diverse collection of leaders united around a shared goal: Identify the root causes of decay in our oceans, forests and climate, and commit to systemic, market-based solutions to reverse these effects by April 2020—the 50th anniversary of Earth Day.

We have released the official 2016 Earth Day 50 Challenge Report to summarize findings from our inaugural convening. In the report, we outline solutions to reverse ecosystem decline through forestry and fishery protection, ocean and forest restoration, and carbon pricing. Now is our time to act—the environment has reached its tipping point, but momentum around collaborative action from corporations and environmental advocates and funders is growing. The Challenge is meant to inspire and encourage leaders to pool their influence and resources in support of positive, systemic change.

If you are inspired by the report or agree with our cause, please spread the word with the help of our Social Activation Guide.
