You are invited to the event “Global Green Finance – What Role can Sweden Play?” to be held on 14 December 2016 from 9.30 to 11.45 a.m. at the Swedish House of Finance (98 Drottninggatan, 111 60 Stockholm, Sweden).
If we are to succeed with delivering on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030 trillions of dollars of private investment will be needed. “Green Finance” is a fast growing phenomenon that aligns finance sector incentives with the global development agenda through finance and investment opportunities in environmental solutions. But is Green Finance mobilizing fast enough?
Mistra Financial Systems (MFS) together with the UNEP Inquiry for the Design of a Sustainable Financial System invite you to the dual launch of two new reports on Green Finance – globally and in Sweden.
UNEP Inquiry visits Stockholm to make an exclusive launch of its Second Global Report that provides a global outlook on financing sustainable development: “Moving from Momentum to Transformation in a Time of Turmoil”. At the same time, Mistra Financial Systems launches a brand new study, developed in collaboration with the UNEP Inquiry, that maps out the Swedish landscape: “Finance and Innovative Investment in Environmental Technology: The Case of Sweden”.
The report launches will be followed by a discussion around the the potential for green finance to scale up, which key challenges that are posing barriers and the way forward.
