Impact Forum 2013 – investing in inclusion

Impact Forum 2013 was held on the 13th and 14th of June at Biopolis, in Buona Vista, Singapore. Plenaries, breakout sessions, workshops and individual talks created discussions bringing to light key issues and innovations pertaining to the overall theme of Investing in Inclusion.

 

Key sectors highlighted in the sessions were:  Healthcare, Water, Climate Change, Education, Renewable Energy, and Agriculture.

 

The Forum’s keynote speaker was Professor Muhammad Yunus, Nobel Laureate who spoke about what Inclusion means to him. Featured speakers, Wayne Silby of Calvert Fund (Ethical Markets Advisory Board member), Marina Mahathir, writer and blogger and Piyush Gupta of DBS also gave their opinions on the topic of Inclusion.

 

Delegates and speakers from a wide range of backgrounds came together to share challenges and solutions across sectors and countries. In addition, each speaker and many delegates made a pledge of action as to what their contribution would be over the next 12 months towards promoting Inclusion.
