Eyes of the world are fixed on Brazil

As many anticipated, once the football kicked off, the fear of protests or violent clashes marring this World Cup dissipated as quickly as Brazil had put three goals in Croatia’s net. Last month I visited Brazil where the overriding feeling ahead of the World Cup was one of great concern about the state of the country’s infrastructure to support such a big event (especially with the Olympics following shortly after).
