You are warmly invited to join us for the Green Economy Coalition’s (GEC) Global Meeting 2018 taking place on 5th– 6th September, 2018, in Durban, South Africa.
This year we hold our meeting back to back with the UN PAGE Ministerial meeting on 3 – 4th September, Durban, South Africa. The GEC has been granted a number of guest list reservations. But there is a deadline for our allocation. We need to hear from you by April 30th.
The GEC Global Meeting 2018 will focus on ‘Giving everyone a stake in the green economy’. We will reflect on the PAGE meeting and how we can accelerate and broaden our movement so that the green economy improves the lives of ordinary people.
This year marks a milestone in our evolution as a network. With 7 country programmes now up and running around the world, our partner organisations will be sharing their stories from the frontlines of the green economic transition: evidence of real and positive improvements, with the potential to achieve scale across nations, and change lives.
Co-hosted with our South African partners, The African Centre and Trade & Industrial Policy Strategies (TIPS), we will be taking stock of the global transition and planning our next steps together as the largest civil society movement for fair, green economies.
