LaRae LongReforming Global Finance, Partner Announcements and News

Environmental Finance‘s Green Bonds California conference will take place on October 16 at the Milken Institute in Santa Monica.

The green bond market’s growth is reflective of a broader shift in attitudes that is seeing investors and businesses increasingly consider ESG factors in their operations.

Municipal issuance in California has continued strongly with investors growing their stakes in the successful outcomes of sustainable municipal projects and infrastructure upgrades and this conference will discuss how to develop the market further.

California State Treasurer Fiona Ma will attend and speak at the conference along with an impressive list of representatives from municipal bond issuers and investors.

This year we plan to shape the conversation around the big issues and the strategies that can be deployed to grow the green, social and sustainability bond market exponentially over the next years. These include:

  • How California can be a pioneer for green finance
  • What are the key questions on issuers’ and investors’ minds?
  • Will social and sustainable bonds be the next big thing in the ESG in fixed income

universe?

  • How should cities and local government leaders be thinking about long-term financing?
  • The ESG puzzle of risk, pricing and credit worthiness
