Welcome to the Q1 edition of Global Energy News, bringing you all the latest deals, appointments, research and breaking news from across this innovative sector.

In recent news, InnoEnergy, Europe’s sustainable energy engine supported by the EIT, today launches a series of reports which analyse global trends in decarbonising heat and transport. The reports show Europe leading on heat with the largest deployment of heat pumps globally at 6.7 million installed, while Asia Pacific leads the market in electric vehicles, and North America dominates in smart buildings.

In this month’s edition, we reveal how one of the world’s largest commercial Certificate Authority (CA) and a leader in web security solutions, Sectigo has formed a strategic alliance with Kyrio which is engaged with more than 30 global standards groups spanning the energy, industrial and commercial Internet of Things (IoT), and Smart Cities. The alliance will offer a diverse range of businesses valuable in-depth knowledge about planning and executing device security programs throughout the lifecycles of connected device networks.

Also in this issue, we look at how PassivSystems has recently secured a renewable energy initiative contract with Authority for Electricity Regulation in Oman (AER). The contract enables AER to provide a technology platform to manage 250,000 residential solar PV assets, from pre-installation through commissioning, operation, remote monitoring and maintenance.

The team here at Global Energy hope that you enjoy reading this month’s informative issue and look forward to hearing from you soon.
