Building Expertise on Developing Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure, Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), 17 June 2019
On 17 June 2019, the Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in partnership with GIB, is offering a 6-week MOOC on “Building expertise on developing sustainable and resilient infrastructure“.
Infrastructure decisions made today will directly impact generations to come. Drawing on the most recent developments in social and environmental science as well as the expertise of practitioners, this course aims to build a better understanding of how climate and sustainability development goals can be achieved through sustainable infrastructure development. 
Participants will be introduced to SuRe® – the Standard for Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure and its criteria. SuRe® articulates current best practice in infrastructure development, and through learning about SuRe®, students will improve their understanding of sustainable and resilient infrastructure, its social, economic and environmental relevance, its complexity, challenges and opportunities.
