Honouring our Community and the Planet

Many of us feel the season begin to change, either with new life sprouting or with the harvest ripe on the vine.  GEN feels the global community awakening and blooming.  We invite you to join us as we celebrate, advocate and organise for the regenerative world.

Nominations are open for the 2018 Hildur Jackson Award

We are pleased to announce nominations are open for the 2018 Hildur Jackson Award, named in honour of GEN cofounder Hildur Jackson and celebrated around her birthday on October 7th.

Together with Gaia Trust, GEN developed the Hildur Jackson Award in 2004 which has evolved to become a €3,000 annual prize that supports and honours projects around the world demonstrating regenerative best-practices in all dimensions of sustainability. The prize is awarded to projects bringing the most impactful inspiration about ecovillages/ecovillage lifestyles to a broad audience.

The 2018 prize will honour an Extraordinary Project (€3,000) and is open to ecovillage communities or projects worldwide. We are accepting nominations from August 25th, 2018 through September 25th, 2018.

HOW TO APPLY

Projects (or people) can nominate themselves or others, by uploading a project in the Ecovillage Map and filling in the application form.  Projects of any size or type recognized on our ecovillage map are accepted.  Our Jury will meet and choose from a shortlist of nominees, with winners announced during the first week of October.
