Envision Solar Debuts EV ARC™ at the Charging Infrastructure Expo in Detroit, Michigan
EV ARC™ Electric Vehicle Autonomous Renewable Charger; standalone solar charging station requires no foundation, trenching, building permit, grid connection
SAN DIEGO, CALIF. – SEPTEMBER 17th, 2013 – Envision Solar International, Inc., a leading sustainable infrastructure product and media platform designer and developer, announced today that it is debuting the world’s first fully autonomous, fully mobile, fully renewable Electric Vehicle Charging station, the EV ARC™, at the Charging Infrastructure Show.
The EV ARC™ is a cost-effective, easy-to-install, standalone solar charging station that requires no foundation, no trenching, no building permit and no grid connection.
Leaders in the automotive industry, business leaders, technical experts, consultants and R&D professionals will attend the Charging Infrastructure Expo, all looking for the latest product innovations. EV ARC™ is the world’s first and only fully renewable, autonomous and transportable EV Charging station, which is delivered to the customer’s premise ready to operate. It is expected to be a centerpiece for innovation at the show.
“We are delighted to be debuting the EV ARC at this show in Detroit, the automotive center of the world”, said Desmond Wheatley, President and CEO of Envision Solar. “All major manufacturers are offering EVs and as our exclusive agreement with Cadillac shows, our products create exciting, brandable and sustainable solutions for the rapidly growing EV Charging space. You can drive on sunshine and our products make it easy and attractive to do so.”
Invented, engineered and fabricated in the United States, the EV ARC™ fits inside a standard parking space and generates approximately 16 kWhrs per day that are stored and ready for use in the 22 kWhr on board battery storage. The system’s clean solar electrical generation is enhanced by EnvisionTrak™, which enables the solar array to follow the sun, generating 18 to 25 percent more electricity than a conventional fixed array.
“The EV ARC is not a concept,” added Wheatley, “we have delivered the first units to a customer and are in the process of executing on our first order for export. Having a truly transportable solution is not just great for our customers, it means that Envision Solar has a far broader reach and significantly increased opportunities with products ready to operate anywhere in the world”.
According to Frost and Sullivan the deployment of EV Charging infrastructure is expected to grow at 128% CAGR year over year for the next decade.
