Energy Agency said on Thursday

The United States on Thursday formally notified the United Nations that it has embraced
the Copenhagen Accord setting nonbinding goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions
that was negotiated last month.

Senators are examining ways to fashion a climate control bill to reduce carbon dioxide
emissions, which might not include a cap-and-trade system, key senators said on Thursday.
