Plus Pool: The Crowd’s Push to Transform NYC’s East River — Plus Pool is a civic initiative (and crowdfunding campaign) to install a floating pool in the East River. If it succeeds, Plus Pool would not only provide a safe, surreal place for New Yorkers to swim, but also clean a half-million gallons of river water daily.
