Congressman Grayson Calls for Action

Ethical MarketsPoetry by Hazel Henderson

Many members of Congress are concerned about the undue influence the Supreme Court has allowed businesses to have over politcal campaigns.  See Hazel Henderson’s article “Supreme Court Shocker.”

Congressman Grayson in particular calls for action:

Dear Friends,
This Wednesday, January 27, at 9:30 a.m., the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit will hear the case SpeechNow v. FEC to decide if billionaires have the “constitutional right” to pollute political campaigns to any degree that they see fit.

We need to respond. I just contacted the clerk of the court to share my thoughts and voice my support for real freedom of speech. I hope you’ll join me.

Click here to contact the court. Thank you!

I think we should all respond.  Let the lower courts know that there is room for debate and reconsideration on this issue.
