  • Business Support Needed Now for Minimum Wage Increase
    Momentum continues to build for raising the minimum wage. Now we need action at the federal level. It’s crucial that we have strong business support for raising the minimum wage before a vote in Congress. ACTIONSign the petition today!  Read the Nov. 6 op-ed by Holly Sklar.
  • Election Victories for Sustainable Economy Measures
    Ballot initiatives to build a sustainable economy prevailed in several elections on Tuesday. Voters in New Jersey approved a measureraising the state’s minimum wage to $8.25 beginning this January. In addition, it amended the state Constitution to require that future increases be tied to inflation. Read more on the ASBC site.
  • Crowdfunding and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
    The SEC released draft rules for the crowdfunding section of the JOBS Act on October 23rd. A public comment period of 90 days is currently open. asbc is reviewing the 500 page draft regulation and will brief anyone interested in the near future.
  • EPA Listening Sessions
    The EPA is holding two more listening sessions tomorrow in Philadelphia and Chicago to solicit input on the proposed carbon pollution standards. For more information please contact Greta Twombly
