CLEAN EDGE Q3 2009 STOCK INDEX UPDATE
Quarterly update on CELS, QWND, and QGRD through September 30, 2009

This newsletter is dedicated to tracking the performance of the NASDAQ® Clean Edge® Green Energy Index, NASDAQ OMX® Clean Edge® Global Wind Energy Index, and the NASDAQ OMX® Clean Edge® Smart Grid Infrastructure Index. Clean Edge began producing stock indexes in early 2006 and our goal is to provide leading benchmark indexes tracking the clean-energy and clean-tech sectors. All figures listed in this newsletter are for the period ending September 30, 2009. Index data is provided by FactSet Research Systems and NASDAQ OMX.

NASDAQ® Clean Edge® Green Energy Index (CELS)
CELS is designed to track the performance of U.S.-listed companies that are primarily manufacturers, developers, distributors, or installers of clean-energy technologies. During Q3 2009 the index was up 11.22 percent.

Five securities were added to the index as a result of the semi-annual evaluation: Broadwind Energy, Inc., Comverge, Inc., Capstone Turbine Corporation, ESCO Technologies Inc., and National Semiconductor Corporation. Securities removed from the index after evaluation were Orion Energy Systems, Inc. and GrafTech International Ltd. These changes became effective on September 21, 2009.

NASDAQ OMX® Clean Edge® Global Wind Energy Index (QWND)
QWND is a modified market-capitalization index and includes companies that are primarily manufacturers, developers, distributors, installers, and users of energy derived from wind sources. During Q3 2009 the index was up 10.64 percent.

Seven securities were added to the index as a result of the semi-annual evaluation: Broadwind Energy Inc., Enel S.p.A., Infigen Energy, PNE Wind AG, Suzlon Energy Ltd., Terna Energy S.A., and Theolia S.A . No securities were removed from the index. These changes became effective on September 21, 2009.
